Istanbul Quantitative Lectures is an international program that provides courses on data analysis methods used in Social Sciences. Istanbul Quantitative Lectures (ISTQL) has been offering courses from the leading Scientists of their fields since 2011. All the courses are designed to answer academics problems with their research and are prepared by the experts of that field who are well-known for their contributions to the scientific literature.
The language of instruction of these courses is English and the courses include boththeoretical andapplication sections. Courses require hands-on computer applicationsand include examples for participants to get involved with the real applications. Participants will be informed with the softwareused for the course and recommended to install the program to their personal laptops for the course. Courses are offered between the announced dates by announced the lecturers. There are two different course length offered: 35 hour work load courses (15 ECTS) and 24 hour work load courses (10 ECTS). Participants who would like to gain the ECTS credits should take andexam and pass. All participants will obtain a certification of participation as long as theyattend the 80% of the courses. The course is not automatically examined although provision can be made to take a Course Exam. The course ECTS credits change according to the course work load. Participants from countries participating in the Bologna process should be able to use these credits for their M.A. at their home university. Please inquire to your home university for further information! The summer school office has no information which universities accept ECTS credits from Istanbul University.
